About
The world is full of beautiful words. The tongue has no bones but is strong enough to break a heart. Words start wars and end them, create love and choke it, bring us to laughter and joy and tears. There is no falsehood in words, only in things.
Calling all readers, lovers of poetry and music, screen and stage. If you have a google spreadsheet of Metric/Marina/Mitski/Macklemore lyrics, now's your time to shine. What does Nobel Laureate Louise Glück have in common with the Future of Kpop Lee Chan? I don't know, but we can find out.
Examples
Junhui + The Archer
"Easy they come, easy they go
I jump from the train, I ride off alone
I never grew up, it's getting so old
Help me hold onto you"
Taylor Swift - The Archer
Verhao; "I loved him from the moment he walked in"
Just thinking about all the verhao soft feelings from the last week of November, especially the killer tweet from @literarykpop with the quote:
"I laughed and said, ‘Life is easy.’ What I meant was, ‘Life is easy with you here, and when you leave, it will be hard again." - Miranda July
95 line - R18
"Houston, we have a problem."

A/N: hadn't heard this song before but I fell in love with the prompt, as expected of mitski lyrics v___v thank you!
Seungcheol was accosted in front of the bathroom, having idled his time before the show away, whereas Jeonghan had drawn the short straw and was the first to go through hair and makeup. He looked beautiful, of course.
“I have a gift for you,” Jeonghan said with a grin. Seungcheol let his heart swell up for a moment before remembering it was Yoon Jeonghan, and soon enough a plastic-wrapped bar of soap dropped into his hands.
Seungcheol tore the packaging open like he hadn’t already watched one of these disintegrate next to his sink over the course of the night.
“I stole it from the hotel,” he added, certainly waiting for Seungcheol’s reaction. “Citrus and mandarin.”
“They give those to you for free,” Seungcheol replied, frowning.
“Ah, but here’s the thing,” Jeonghan said. “I took it from the housekeeping cart.”
*
Jeonghan had only said yes once. Seungcheol had never truly asked, but his eyes gave it away, the desperation, and it probably broke Jeonghan’s heart to turn his face away every time. That’s what he’d like to think anyway.
When he knocked on the door to Jeonghan’s hotel room Seokmin was nowhere to be found, and neither of them said anything about it. Jeonghan had shuffled to the door all casual with his white slippers on, and after facing each other silently for a few moments he enveloped Seungcheol in a hug so comforting he didn’t have the strength to stand on his own feet.
Which was just as well because Jeonghan had already pulled the tight sheets away from the bed and Seungcheol was asleep within minutes.
*
They were due on stage in 23 seconds. A spotlight rotated in trajectory until it shone where Seungcheol was standing in the left wing, and he shivered. Jeonghan took his face by the chin and brushed the hair out of Seungcheol’s eyes.
“We’re going to do great.”
Against his own wishes, Seungcheol took his hand and gripped it tightly until the last second.
*
There is no good time to say any of it out loud. Not in the past when he would not know how to put it in words, not now when it’s safer, even critical for no one to know and for no one to acknowledge, not in the future when everything will be different and these feelings will already have evolved.
Still, Seungcheol imagines pleading with him: wouldn’t you be honest with me just this once?
Sometimes it feels like Jeonghan has so much less to lose, side by side with a man whose heart was so transparently poured into one place, left there to solidify, rooted, immovable. Seungcheol trusts Jeonghan’s judgment much more than his own, though — so if Jeonghan won’t verbalize it he will follow suit.
The unspoken truth that yes, you do mean so much to me that I’d rather keep it inside than lose a single part of this love.

- I always love the small details that spill in from real life!! jeongcheol present feud, seokhan roommates, and then maybe a little from the circles of inspirations we share? ("I love you. I'd wish you'd let me tell you."), or maybe its the niche dynamics library in our hivemind
- “Ah, but here’s the thing,” Jeonghan said. “I took it from the housekeeping cart.” > this really ruined me. I laughed but it also sunk into my heart like an arrow. God, the fact that he stole it makes it /mean/ something and idk if YJH has pottytrained me to read his cues, but this is a lovelang, to me.
- not needing words to express what you need! being understood anyway! this level of intimacy!!!
- "There is no good time to say any of it out loud." the BBB mood of this, that final line!!! yes, you do mean so much to me that I’d rather keep it inside than lose a single part of this love. risa!!!! I am going to handwrite this and leave it everywhere so that I can come across it accidently and scream all over again!!

every line in here has so much more behind it (which is of course the heart of the story) and your dialogue and seungcheol's interiority is so revealing and brilliant.... loved this so much!!

the concept of liking someone so much that you could never put it to words, that you would never want to put it to words. it NEVER MISSES. i love the part about the past, present, future and how there never was and never will be a right time. and how there is both sadness and comfort in that. also was struck by how much physicality there was. the hug, the face touching. it's so delicious in concert with the repression going on. i looooves it thank you for painting jeongcheol in beautiful nuance.
