Round 1: Quotes

About

The world is full of beautiful words. The tongue has no bones but is strong enough to break a heart. Words start wars and end them, create love and choke it, bring us to laughter and joy and tears. There is no falsehood in words, only in things.

Calling all readers, lovers of poetry and music, screen and stage. If you have a google spreadsheet of Metric/Marina/Mitski/Macklemore lyrics, now's your time to shine. What does Nobel Laureate Louise Glück have in common with the Future of Kpop Lee Chan? I don't know, but we can find out.

Examples

Junhui + The Archer
"Easy they come, easy they go
I jump from the train, I ride off alone
I never grew up, it's getting so old
Help me hold onto you"
Taylor Swift - The Archer

Verhao; "I loved him from the moment he walked in"
Just thinking about all the verhao soft feelings from the last week of November, especially the killer tweet from @literarykpop with the quote:
"I laughed and said, ‘Life is easy.’ What I meant was, ‘Life is easy with you here, and when you leave, it will be hard again." - Miranda July

95 line - R18
"Houston, we have a problem."

Prompt:
In the interview, they asked if you believe in love at first sight. You said I think I have to. You didn’t say we are all one hard storm away from dissolving, vanishing into the frenzied dusk. But I get it. I know what it is to walk into the mouth of an unfamiliar morning and feel everything.

HWA...i have been staring at my screen for ten minutes straight what the fuck this was like waking up in Wonwoo's head, watching his thoughts pass by and feeling like I'm trespassing. There are lines here I'm already sure I'm going to come back to: I know what it’s like to wake up to an empty apartment and feel the absence of everything, like the ghost of a should be. and here will always be another era of this, after this. and the ending aah this was an incredible read!

hwa !! ????? that line about hurricanes has just as much weight to it as the one in pacrim, which maybe is not a comparison that makes sense but the opening monologue from that movie is something i think about all the time. i love the way you pulled together your imagery, and first person worked so well for this!! wow!!

Soonyoung hurricane... huge yes oh wow!! I had so much fun reading this. It's really thoughtful and delicate, I love the choice of first person to explore the interview format and so much of the language you used especially "meandered into the room after a bottle of wine" + "a camera ready to strangle the sin from our mouths" (I read the poem, is that adapted from "the cameras are hungry for whatever sins we can strangle out of the night" ? because !!!!!) It feels very much like Wonwoo the whole time, his voice is spot-on!
(edit: returning to this bc I kept thinking about this Wonwoo. I reread your wonhui from snap shots and it’s the same feeling, you really have a knack for his voice!! Maybe because of the writerly undertones of both versions of your WW? can’t put my finger on what specifically is happening but it’s Very Good and I Like It hahaha)
