wren has quoted my 1st favorite paragraph (love the wonhui moment it's just a very rainiest brand) so i'd like to highlight this one that, on second read, really captures what i loved about this ficlet

That isn’t what Junhui meant, and Seungkwan knows that. But maybe that doesn’t have to make it untrue. Maybe there are no perfect words for some things. Only the imperfect ones that quietly unearth themselves like raw gemstones: rare, spontaneous, and only ever formed between people who have been side by side for a long, long time.

- the visuals of light coming in and the term the title is based on. holy moly your brain.
- svt being so open about how much they love and appreciate one another always makes me feel warm and i love that you highlighted how people receive love in different ways, some being more open to giving & receiving while others can be more reluctant or more leaning towards one aspect. the gemstones analogy is so on point, because sometimes you see people who are so different on paper but work it out, and it's all thanks to that unique understanding both sides have grown in mutuality — an aspect of friendship that is described so beautifully here.

also love how you said 'there are no perfect words' vs the discourse about needing more words to precisely describe our emotions & feelings? perhaps we just need to build the ability to tell it in our own ways

- juncat imagery and the second part! cats are often accused of being unloving because people are more used to the outward affection dogs do, but it's all about having the initiative to receive love instead of being subjected to it, i think? i love the double entendre with wonwoo referring to a cat and jun referring to... the same cat? himself? he wants to be loved but isn't sure how to receive it but he does want love, we all do. we might need some (or lots of) space but we still need people to not give up on understanding and loving us.
