Sometimes it's about the aesthetic (dark academia). Sometimes it's about straining those ship dynamics to the extreme (Pacific Rim). Maybe life is hard and you need to exorcise something (unemployment/coporate slave AU). Or perhaps you are so in love with the world you want to see Seventeen in it. Shakespeare, My Hero Academia, RuPaul's Drag Race. No problem - just give some context so anyone can fill it. Examples MinWon - Bittersweet Ah yes, the ambiguous Bittersweet MV. I'm curious to see anyone's interpretation of those MinWon scenes. Any / NCT AU Remember how Seventeen was supposed to be subgroups divided across Korea, China and Japan? What if that happened and the members were split up, only to reunite once a year. Or if they promoted like NCT - thinking about the graduation angst of NCT Dream, the ridiculous schedules of SuperM. Who is Mark and over-employed. Who is Shotaro and stuck in the basement? Wonhui X Link Click (Donghua) Link Click is a show about two guys who run a photography studio and time travels to help their customers. Wonwoo knows every event within 12 hours of a photograph being taken and Junhui can time travel and possess the photographer for 12 hours to complete a mission. Wonwoo speaks in Junhui's mind and tells him what he needs to do - where to go, what to say, what will happen. There's a rule that Junhui can't change the past because it will change the future :') but Junhui wants to :'). Would love to see WonHui investigating another sebong's story, or an exploration of their contrasting attitudes to fate (resigned vs headstrong - roles can be reversed if you want). oh my god this was!! everything i could have imagined and more!! i lost my mind three times over this: once for realizing someone filled this prompt, another time for realizing you're the author of that gyuhao break up fic i loved (!!), and a third for how perfect this was all around ;;

the main ships were so good but the side dynamics/characterizations killed me too..... super synced-up soonhoon, woozi getting recruited for tech and not combat, minkey as korea's first pilots (and hoshi's role models)...!!

and then your soonyoung and minghao ;; some of my favorite bits about this piece are the tiny details in their characterization (hoshi not being used to sparring someone taller, minghao watching the interview with subs, their mutual flair for showy moves hahaha). and the simultaneous attraction + internalized homophobia transposed over all of that is just so so SO good! (i loooved the line with minghao not knowing whether to be jealous of hoshi or jealous of mingyu)

i also really appreciated this take on minghao and who he'd be in this universe, without the meditation and without his practice of finding the beauty in the smallest things... the potential for mingyu to show him that (in person and in the drift, wow!) is so ;;;

thank you!! for prompting this and for such a kind comment. pacrim aus are one of my favorite things and this prompt was so huge brained i couldn't resist trying to fill it, even if i couldn't really get to the ot3 version ( ᴗ_ᴗ̩̩ ) i am truly rooting for this version of minghao... he'll get through this eventually...
