ARE YOU KIDDING you literally gave me such a wonderful fill and more oh wow???????
The tension was so tantilizing and your writing makes me feel like I was in that room with them, observing in the shadows, like I shouldn't be privvy to their conversation, their emotions!!!
“I don’t bother with pointless formalities,” Minghao says, leaning back on her hands. One thin strap slides off her shoulder. Soonyoung has an inexplicable urge to bite her exposed shoulder.
“They’re not pointless to me,” Soonyoung says, her voice quieting. Minghao’s eyes sharpen.
Oh my god this, I love how sensual and heart breaking this is ㅜㅜ The visceral urge to touch and be close, but then you can't, not anymore. Then as if SN can't help it, an admission that she still wants to ㅜㅜ
It clearly hasn’t, for the very subject of Soonyoung’s exile and heartbreak stands breathtakingly in front of her, and Soonyoung still finds herself at Minghao’s command, almost unwillingly. She might still kneel if Minghao asks it of her.
I'm really not good with words and the only thing that comes to mind is a constant loop of ohmygodohmygodohmygodilovethis! But I just love how you captured their dynamics from the book, so vividly that you really gave me what I wanted and more with how I was unable to pull away my attention from your writing and crave for more.
Of course I do, Soonyoung says in her head bitterly, it’s you. It’s always been you. In real life she squares her shoulders and says nothing. versus “Perhaps, you,” Minghao says softly, turning around. Her face has softened a fraction, silvered by the moonlight.
I'm obsessed with how you wrote their admissions to themselves and each other, I love how its so different (one is bitter and rightfully so, while the other is hopeful yet lost, struggling to reconnect but is burdened by duty) and painful in their own ways. It beautifully encapsulates the enemies to lovers to enemies idea that I had in my head when I wrote the prompt and I want to thank you for taking it to greater heights and writing something I'll definitely go back to and read again!!!
I hope you're well, wherever you are. Thank you again for filling my prompt!!!
