2021: Remix Round

Status: Open
This round is always open

Seventeen Holidays
Remix Round

About

Welcome to a round that is different to the rest~

Did a fill catch your eye? Gave you brainworms? Shattered your perception of reality, time and space? Here is the place to catch those ideas and work it into something new. We all love what ifs and what could have beens, but we also love fanwork of fanworks! A remix could be a fanart of someone's fill, a backstory for a fanart, a podfic, an alternate ending, a different perspective, a sequel, a book cover — go wild, have fun.

Note: there is no prompting for this round.

Rules
  • Sign up is not required.
  • Fills have a minimum of 400 words for prose, haiku-length for poetry (3 lines), and 400px by 400px for art (memes are also art). Other mediums are fine too!
  • There is no maximum cap.
  • Tag and provide content warnings at your discretion, but a good guide are the Ao3 four (Graphic Depictions of Violence, Major Character Death, Rape/Non-Con, Underage) and this list of common CWs (cr: SportsFest).
  • NSFW/Explicit content should be tagged
  • NSFW art should not be visible. Please provide a link to the art. You may crop the artwork and embed a SFW preview.

How it works

Remixing
  1. Before you start , double check that you can remix the fill, either by checking the permissions on the post, or asking the creator directly;
  2. Post your remix below, as a comment to this post. Change the subject to something relevant, then copy+paste the following HTML into the comment box, fill it out, and add your text;
  3. Go back to the original fill to let them know it's been remixed and make their day! Also, change your comment subject to [REMIX] and remember to include a link to the remix.

    You may also upload your remix to the AO3 Collection

Remixing with art/media
  1. Do the same as above, also;
  2. Upload your work to any platform (twitter, imgur, youtube, soundcloud, google maps, etc.)
  3. Insert the link to your work, done!
  4. Optionally, you can embed a picture into your comment. Please use the following code instead.

    (To explain, the HTML resizes your picture to 400x400px so that it fits on most screens, users can view the full size if they click on it. You can also add a link to your work on twitter so that others can share it, or to any other website you want)
