Seventeen Holidays
Round 3: Screencaps

About

How's your phone storage going? Do you take a dozen screenshots every time you watch a Seventeen MV? Do you have folders of ship """"evidence""""? How about screenshots of every time Seungkwan tried to fight in a variety show just so you can drop it as a reaction when a mutual insults you? No? Just me? Ahahaha please~

Seventeen has always blessed us with content, especially in the year of 2020 when soul-lifting was sorely needed. Think about your favourite Seventeen moments, take a screenshot, and drop it below. Fillers can get creative: explain the situation, extrapolate the consequence or perhaps, go metaphorical - do character study exploring the atmosphere, or take the same dynamics and place them in a different context. Theres no limits on your imagination!

Do Not Wants: Again, I caveat that there is no Parent Kink. Thanks. Other than that, Go ham.
Prompt: Do Idols have codes for sexual orientation because the cat/dog thing seems to come up A LOT. "I like puppy faces" "i like cat faces" does it mean ANIMALS or does it mean GENDERS, I have Suspicions.
Adjacent, but feel free to ignore, GOLF. Golfing. Is it Actually Golfing or is it more idol code?? (Kyungsoo & Chanyeol, Seungcheol & Jeonghan, ...)
So a fic about... restraints and constraints in relation to what you can and cannot say and how that grew to have it's own sub-language (these are the two things that stand out to me, but go wild). (I'm thinking about Polari, but any other sub group specific slang that's otherwise incomprehensible is also Fab as Inspo)

Alt: Hoshi, Jeonghan, Minghao and Seungkwan at a table. Hoshi leaning around Jeonghan to ask Minghao, "So...what type do you like more? Puppy face or kitty face?"
+ (Sorry Mods! Technically not a screencap but they're optional!!! Forgive me.)

Alt: Tweet with: tmi about each other. Vn: sc is into golf lately, he always practices his golf swing.

Alt: A tweet with the following: OP is the same age as Chanyeol so Chanyeol said "Okay~ let's be friend!" OP asked "is there any other hobby besides golf?" He said, there are no other hobbies besides Golf and Bowling.

Jeonghan got in the car, locking the doors and putting the key in the ignition. It had been a while since he'd visited his friend, and he missed him. He couldn't have imagined ever not feeling Seokmin's absence on the stage, but as the years had gone by, they had grown to close around the wound. It wasn't so gaping, so raw anymore. They'd all pulled on their weaknesses and pushed their strengths until even though it took all twelve of them, they could play his roles. Jeonghan sang a little higher, Vernon laughed a little more, Jun brushed up his cooking skills.
Nothing could replace him.
But they had learnt how to work without him.

"Hyung!" Seokmin called from the doorway of a barn and Jeonghan slammed the door behind him, jogging over to—
"Don't touch me, I just had to help a cow birth. Wait, let me wash up. It's good to see you, hyung. How's everything? I've been busy lately, haven't been able to follow you much."

Jeonghan took a step back, "We're good. Won an award last night, for performance. Channie's solo album is nearly ready, Cheol-ah is releasing a solo track tonight and Hao has that contract with—"

"That's great, hyung, but I asked how things were, not for a status report–" Seokmin turned back from washing up and smiled at him– "What was the last thing you saw that made you stop and think about life? Hm? Have you made any legos lately?" He turned to the house and Jeonghan followed him, quiet.

"Things are good. Usual stress levels, but we're good. I made a cake yesterday–" Jeonghan hurried to catch up with Seokmin and slip in before the farmhouse door closed– "and it was edible!"

Seokmin turned to him with a grin, "Was it really?"

"Jun said it was nice?"

"Jun is a lying liar who lies."
Jeonghan just hugged him instead of putting up with that. Seokmin laughed and hugged him back, so much stronger than he'd ever have been on stage, but so much more settled in himself.

They drank two pots of tea, sitting there catching up on each other's lives. Seokmin had three new calves, Hwan, Geon and Kyu, a new hen for eggs– ( "She has the combined personality of hungry Seungcheol, tired Seungkwan and angry Minghao. And she tries to bite me four times a day. But the eggs are lovely.") And they were thinking about getting a big pond put in around the back for "yellow ducks." After the second pot, Seokmin brought out a tart, with fresh cream and served Jeonghan up a slice that he took a double take at.
"Hyung, eat it."

"It's too much, Seokmin, really—"

"Come on, I'm not going to tell." Seokmin pushed it closer to him and picked up his own fork and Jeonghan looked at it. It looked delicious.

"This is delicious."

"Thanks, hyung. Now, tell me about you. You you. Not the group you."
Jeonghan swallowed his forkful, "I'm good. Sleeping well, eating well–" Seokmin raised an eyebrow and Jeonghan looked at him– "I am! I promise. Cross my heart and hope to die, promise!"

"Okay, okay!"

"Making friends, maybe making more than friends–" Jeonghan tapped his nose–
"I'm not sure yet."

"Tell me when you are, hyung~ I want the gossip~"

"I'll ring you."

"You do that, hyung. You do that."

Afternoon faded to dusk and Jeonghan stood reluctantly.
"That time already?" Seokmin asked, standing with him.

Jeonghan nodded, "I'm afraid it is. Back to it."

"It was nice seeing you, hyung. Really. Visit more often."

"You too! All our apartments are always open to you–" Jeonghan squeezed him tight– "You know that."

"Ah hyung. I do, I do. But the farm is hard to leave."
Jeonghan squeezed tighter in place of saying anything. At one point he had been hard to leave too.

The stars saw him home. The reflective walls of the elevator saw him up. Soonyoung saw him through the door.
"How was he?"

"Good. Happy. He sent cakes."

"Happy?"

"Yeah, glowing. Really happy, Soonie, really happy."

"I'm happy for him."

Jeonghan leaned onto Soonyoung's shoulder, "So am I."

Death and War get married on a battlefield, the wedding venue adorned with blood and mangled corpses. The wedding is officiated by Famine, and Pestilence is their flower girl and ring bearer. Just a small ceremony attended by zero people, four horsemen, and the uncountable dead.

Seungkwan rolls his eyes around when he finishes pronouncing them horseman and horseman, turning away so he doesn’t have to witness the disgusting aftermath of Mingyu slobbering on Wonwoo in an attempt to kiss him.

Their wedding arch is a storm of carrion flies, courtesy of Chan, and they’re standing on rotting flesh, and Seungkwan is glad that he doesn’t have a sense of smell. Perks of being human-shaped, as opposed to being human.

“You make me ill,” Chan calls out to the happy couple, who have figured out how their mouths work and are now violently frenching, “and I’m literally Pestilence.” Wonwoo, his eyes closed and glasses awkwardly mashed against his face, cheerfully flips Chan off in response.

It’s the fucking end of the world, and Death and War are making out.

Wonwoo finally pushes Mingyu away, not due to lack of air, but rather so he can fix his glasses. Mingyu stares at him dopily the whole time, mouth stretched out in a lazy grin, as if they have all the time in the world, as if they’re not on a countdown. He hooks a finger around Wonwoo’s chain necklace, pulling him in again, the easy way that he bends down and that Wonwoo tilts his head up. They’re so lovestruck, it’s sickening.

It’s them fitting together like second nature that makes Chan avert his eyes. They’ve all seen humans do worse—it’s kind of in the job description—but he can’t quite stomach the tenderness in their eyes, the quiet desperation in their every move.

“Are you two done yet?” Seungkwan asks. “We have other places to be.” Trust Seungkwan to schedule the apocalypse down to the minute.

They break apart, Mingyu bending his knees and hunching his back so that he can cling to Wonwoo. He looks like a dog in heat, and Chan tells him as much, causing him to flush and bury his face in Wonwoo’s shoulder.

“Yeah, alright,” Wonwoo says, responding to Seungkwan with a laugh. With one wave of his fingers, all the groans of the wounded become silent, the wedding orchestra done playing. “What’s next on the agenda?”

It’s the end of times and they’re just four coworkers on a road trip saying goodbye to Earth before it burns.

Jeonghan wakes him up at five to feed the calf.

“It’s really—”

He can’t even say the word, because it’s like, well, no shit, Seokmin. In the morning, grass is wet. In winter, New York is fucking cold.

“You’re going to have to invest some of your Hollywood bucks in a new coat, hotshot,” Jeonghan teases, bemused. But he’s already pausing in his steps to take his scarf off. Seokmin nuzzles his nose into the red wool, grateful for the fuzzy warmth.

“What’s the calf’s name?”

“Oh— I tried giving her one, but she likes it better when I just call her Cow.”

“Cow,” Seokmin repeats. Jeonghan watches him closely for a reaction. “You just say, good morning, cow?”

“She likes it,” Jeonghan says, grinning. “It’s motivational. She’s going to grow up faster. You’ll see.”

The barn is surprisingly warm. The calf is nestling on a bed of hay, her eyes big as dinner plates.

“Hello, Cow,” Jeonghan sing-songs. He kneels, and she immediately nuzzles her velvety brown face into his outstretched mitten.

“Oh no,” Seokmin says, his heart plummeting. “That’s so— that’s really adorable.”

“You feed her.”

“Okay, okay.” Jeonghan’s been carrying what looks like a baby bottle, only it’s twice the size of his hand. When he holds it out Seokmin realizes it’s filled with milk. “You feed her milk? Isn’t that cannibalism?”

“Seokmin, how is that—” Jeonghan shakes his head, tamping down a smile. He pats the hay next to him forcefully.

Seokmin kneels, takes the bottle. He waffles a little bit as the calf blinks up at him, innocent, waiting. He feels ungainly and awkward all of a sudden. Next to Jeonghan he’s a teenager again. Too long limbs, trying desperately to impress an unattainable crush.

Jeonghan sighs. Seokmin opens his mouth to apologize on instinct but then he notices that Jeonghan’s eyes are smiling, and his mittened hands are rising to cover Seokmin’s.

They lift the bottle together. The calf cranes her neck forward and starts to drink and then doesn’t stop, tilting her head up excitedly, coughing when she goes too fast. Laughter spills out of Seokmin so hard that he almost drops the bottle, but Jeonghan steadies it.

“She’s so hungry! Slow down, slow down.”

“Told you calling her Cow makes her aspire,” Jeonghan says, smug. He's pressed against Seokmin's back. He's so warm. Warm as home.

Their calf stops drinking eventually. They watch her ears flick, her big eyes droop as she falls asleep again like a child. Do calves dream? Do they remember their mothers?

Jeonghan doesn't move away. His chin digs into Seokmin's shoulder. Their shadows on the dusky red of the barn wall look like one body.

Seokmin has this weird vision, a vision of a hundred years in the future, of the soft earth outside the barn. Of him and Jeonghan. Their two skeletons in the dirt, holding each other for all of eternity.

Later they walk back to the house, boots crunching steady in the snow.

Seokmin’s cheeks and ears are flushed. He wonders what the pasture looks like in the summer. He imagines dark rolling green, with bees and wildflowers and an endless sky. The kind that’s so blue it almost gives you vertigo.

Imagines Jeonghan in overalls and a wide straw hat, his face pinkened, sun-bright, humming under his breath. Jeonghan watching the stars. Jeonghan at the dinner table, his face softened in candlelight. Smiling the way he did in the barn. The way he always seems to do when Seokmin is around.

Seokmin ducks his head down against the neverending white of the world and tries to breathe normally. Being here feels like looking at a friend knowing that someday they’re going to change, or they’re going to leave you, or you’re going to leave them, and things will never be the same.

Things will never, ever be as good.

How the fuck are you supposed to go on? How the fuck can you live with that? How the fuck has he been living with it?

“Did you know that your thoughts are as loud as you are,” Jeonghan says, puncturing the nothingness.

His trucker cap is pulled low over his face, cheeks angular in the pale early morning shadows. But he’s looking at Seokmin and his eyes are steady, calm. Knowing.

Jeonghan doesn’t fear the same things.

Of course he doesn’t. Seokmin is being silly. Overthinking. Going anywhere but the present. He hasn’t learned. He hasn’t changed. But it’s no use crying over spilled milk because the field isn’t green now, but soon it will be. Soon Seokmin will be gone again.

ki i'm going to launch myself into the sun. thanks for this my friend. ur works always have this visceral quality to them, something very fragile tender and precious, like one more push and u'd send the moment hurtling over the edge.. how do u do that.

- “Oh no,” Seokmin says, his heart plummeting. “That’s so— that’s really adorable.” i've had this moment so many times. it's the wailing of horror and dread bc they've done something so cute and all u can say is Oh No (but only on the inside) because there's no way in hell ur going to let them know. but goddamnit if jeonghan isn't cute as hell.
- Jeonghan doesn't move away.
HOW THE FUCK ????? i think there is something insane about the way you wield words. it feels like i'm dying inside, just a little, wilting. bc i feel so terribly for seokmin
- Being here feels like looking at a friend knowing that someday they’re going to change, or they’re going to leave you, or you’re going to leave them, and things will never be the same. again!!!! u've done it!!!!!!!! how do u translate that feeling into words big ouchie

i am so excited for ur wip. thank you for sharing ;___;

;____; it's really sweet how you've written a svt fully accepting of seokmin's decision to leave the industry, and having jeonghan go visit him... the bittersweetness of getting to see someone you love happier somewhere else. ofc jeonghan himself i think understands seokmin the best and you could easily imagine their positions SWAPPED... jh leaning on soonyoung's shoulder at the end :( "At one point he had been hard to leave too." and the parallel between the farm life and the idol life both being really time consuming... but very different as far as interactions with people and being seen and all that. thank you for writing this it's making me Think.... i'm really thankful svt has stayed together this long!!

Wen Junhui

hey do you want to come over

i’ll make you pancakes for lunch :D

Xu Minghao

either you want something from me or you bought another contraption on the dark web?

A PANCAKE MAKER?

the plastic in those has to be bad for your health, I won’t eat them

Wen Junhui

fine, i’ll make them in the pan! mingyu showed me once, it can’t be that hard

and yes, i need your help

Junhui’s pancakes are rubbery and awful. Minghao eats the dubious food at the coffee table, seeing as Junhui’s proper kitchen table is covered in unsorted mail.

“I’m disgusted, you know that.” He leans his weight on his palms, flat against the beige carpet, wool pressing into his skin. “Mingyu would be ashamed.”

“He only taught me once.” Junhui pouts, and Minghao almost, almost feels a little bad for saying it out loud. “Never mind that, I did what I said and I fed you.” He lifts the half-eaten plate from in front of Minghao’s face and promptly deposits it into the kitchen sink. The sunlight streams nicely into his apartment, it’s a shame he lives here alone. Beautiful boy who makes enough from his stray commercial acting gigs to pay full rent without living here full-time, even if it’s in the suburbs of the city.

“Okay, so what did you want from me?”

“A little company,” Junhui admits with a flair of drama, “and also, I need help clearing my phone storage.”

Minghao gives him a look. “You made me come here for that? You’re not—” He stops, and clears his throat.

“I said, I wanted a little company,” Junhui repeats. “I said that part first.” He smiles a little sadly.

Minghao does feel bad now. And he’s not trying to make it his job to take care of Junhui but every time he comes over here the guilt sorts of eats at him, as if it’s his fault Junhui’s alone.

“What’s on your phone?”

“I don’t know,” Junhui says, “it won’t tell me why it’s full, the storage screen just loads forever. I need space to download that new game everyone’s talking about, Wonwoo said there’s an event going on so I better hurry up and get it.”

Minghao rolls his eyes. “Give it here.”

Ten minutes later Minghao’s booted up Junhui’s laptop and connected his phone via cable. A glass of lemonade is sitting next to it, but Minghao hasn’t touched it because Junhui never puts enough sugar in. “You have a shit ton of videos on here, Junhui. Do you never delete anything?”

“Oh really? I didn’t realize they took up that much space,” Junhui says. He leans over Minghao’s shoulder to get a look at what he’s scrolling through. “Hey— that’s—”

Minghao closes the file explorer window.

“You know, when people break up with someone and don’t stay friends, they usually get rid of all this stuff. Things that remind them of, well, their ex.”

“I didn’t see any harm in it,” Junhui says, arms crossed over the coffee table, looking away from Minghao.

“You have so many pictures with him,” Minghao says.

“You say that like it’s a bad thing.”

Minghao splutters. “Well—”

To be fair about it. Minghao doesn’t exactly have an objective standpoint on this situation. He introduced them at the dance studio, he was the one that encouraged the ever-nervous Junhui to talk to Soonyoung at all. And before long Junhui was talking about him all the time, Soonyoung this, Soonyoung that, “Soonyoung always sends fun emoticons to my animal pics, Soonyoung’s so cute, Soonyoung doesn’t ignore my texts like you do sometimes,” and Minghao was equally happy for him and equally resentful about it. Soonyoung’s all-consuming love can burn out, he’d seen it before. Everyone else is left in the aftermath. In the end he was right that it wasn’t sustainable.

Minghao wishes he didn’t believe in manifestation.

“Do you look at these often?”

Junhui grabs the phone, takes it gently in his hands. “Here, let me show you my favorites.”

First is the picture of the four of them at the dance academy, standing together after the showcase in which Minghao, Soonyoung and Chan performed for family and friends. Minghao thought Junhui didn’t have enough friends sometimes, which was more obvious when he was awake and alone late at night and Minghao, trying to fix his sleep schedule, would charge his phone on the other side of the room. He woke up one morning and at the top of his most recent notifications was you’re all I have, you know? Junhui never means to guilt anyone, which made the feeling worse.

Soonyoung bowed three times at the end of their performance, sweaty but grinning like he’d won the world or something identically huge. The image of Junhui clapping stood out to Minghao amongst everyone else in the crowd and he thought— well, why had he never thought of it before?

“This is Junhui,” he’d told them next to the mirrors, and Chan shook his hand and smiled, and the first thing out of Soonyoung’s mouth, to absolutely no one’s surprise, was “Do you know how to dance?”

Junhui didn’t at all but was willing to embarrass himself in front of the three of them after the lights were dimmed and all the other families went home. When the night was over Junhui had Soonyoung and Chan’s numbers and Minghao felt a forged sort of relief. Minghao forwarded the photo of them that’d been taken on Chan’s phone over to Junhui, and Junhui replied thank you with a bunch of heart emojis. For the first time, Minghao sent them back.

Second is a selfie of Soonyoung and Junhui, posing outside next to metal statues of an otter and frog respectively. ^^ they look like you guys, Soonyoung said, after Junhui’d sent the picture in their group chat. The botanical garden in the city has a kids’ playground and in its center is the pond where those statues have sat for many years. Minghao remembers being told about this date— “It’s not a date,” Junhui had complained, but Minghao knew him well enough to know when not to believe him— and at the time Junhui hadn’t been able to stop smiling.

Third is a video cropped out of a behind-the-scenes film of Soonyoung and Junhui practicing tiger poses at the back of a commercial set. On the table next to them is a cardboard holder and two drinks that Soonyoung must have brought for when Junhui was on break, the ice melting away as they spend more of it talking and joking around than anything else. Soonyoung’s wearing his fluffy vest, it must have been the following autumn.

Fourth is a Snapchat of Soonyoung lying in a field of wildflowers. His eyes are closed and the wind blows into the microphone, brushing petals into his charcoal-colored hair. The camera inches closer to his face, and when it reaches past his nose Soonyoung’s eyes open wide. The text on the screen reads “Jeju”. Minghao doesn’t know when this one is from.

Fifth is a photo of a striped kitten, walking across a brick wall in what looks like a local neighborhood.

“I saw it last week, it reminded me of him,” Junhui says softly. “I wanted to text him and hear him say it was cute.”

Minghao takes a sip of the lemonade. It’s sweet, after all.

“Did Soonyoung teach you how to make lemonade too?”

“He’s all over my life,” Junhui says, devastated. “I can’t get rid of him.”

Minghao takes a deep breath in.

“You don’t have to,” he says, creating a new folder on Junhui’s desktop, naming it Things to Remember. “I’ll help you.”

Prompt: thinking about hansol helping mingyu tie up his sleeves; would love something including that kind of intricate ritual (dressing? undressing? tiny little buttons? many ribbons? necklaces? proximity? feel free to take this wherever)

this is so ;_; your junhui is this incredible mixture of dramatic and whimsical and shy....and your ksy and xmh!! i get such a clear picture of ksy just through the line "Soonyoung’s all-consuming love can burn out, he’d seen it before. Everyone else is left in the aftermath."

you have such a knack for taking these unsaid dynamics that are often experienced btwn close people and slotting them in so brilliantly with your characters...i think you are such an intelligent writer and this was painful to read in the best way. the ending line!! my favorite in this is: “He’s all over my life,” Junhui says, devastated. “I can’t get rid of him.” god!!! that's so powerful because it's like....yeah... i get it. i do. and so does xmh, and the ending is perfect. thank you so much for writing and sharing risa, you always astonish me!!

“Never trust appearances.”

Joshua turns around to look at his teammate, Junhui wearing a secret little smile on his face, his eyes glimmering with secrets he wants to spill.

“What?” Joshua asks, because he genuinely doesn’t know what the other is talking about. With a shrug, Jun deescretly points at the other team’s setter, who’s sprawled down on the gym’s floor, seemingly already exhausted after just half an hour of warmups. Jun has probably caught Joshua staring at him.

“Yoon Jeonghan,” Junhui says, using the hem of his shirt to wipe at the sweat that has gathered on his forehead. Joshua patiently waits for an explanation, but their coach calls for them to regroup and start the ten minutes of free spikes. Joshua finds a ball and puts himself in line, behind Junhui, who turns around to smirk at him.
“Keep your eyes on Yoon Jeonghan.”

Still confused, Joshua does as instructed - not that he needed any encouragement to do so. On the other side of the net, Jeonghan is back on his feet, only half of his smile showing up with the way he’s standing sideways next to it, sending ball after ball in the air. Amazement fills Joshua as he stares at the meticulous precision with which Jeonghan chooses the right height and length of every toss, as if he knows where all of his spikers want the ball to be for the attack to be successful.

“He’s the best setter of the tournament,” Junhui informs him before passing the ball in his hands to Seungkwan, flying in the air to place it with a powerful strike along the left boundary line on the opposite court. Loud cheers come from their teammates, making Junhui beam at them.

When the game starts, it’s brutal.

“This isn’t volleyball, this is violence,” Jun tells the team during the first mandatory break as he chugs down water and salts. Seungkwan lightly kicks his knee, puffing out his cheeks. “Focus on the game, you prick.”

They’re losing the first set, six to eight. Just two points, but so far the pace has been exhausting, each ball lasting several minutes before either of the teams managed to score. Yoon Jeonghan, as Junhui said, proves to be insanely good at what he does.

He doesn’t look particularly strong, or athletic, but he moves around the court in fast steps and seems to always know where his teammates are. His strategy is so flawless that trying to stop his spikers turn out to be a feat, Mingyu having to run back and forth from one end of the net to the other, panting hard just after the first three exchanges.

The two points of advantage the other team has over them are Jeonghan’s doing, the first one coming from a spike that he attempted himself on second touch - “What the fuck is he doing?!” Seungkwan screeched before he had to dive and defend the ball, uselessly so as it smacked on the linoleum with finality. The other was a dink that fell just out of Joshua’s reach. When he looked up after rolling on the ground in a futile attempt to save the ball, Jeonghan was smiling at him through the net’s holes, cocky.

A brutal game.

They end up losing.

It’s after their coach makes them stretch and goes with them through the things they have to work on if they want to better themselves, after the showers, after Joshua has dressed himself back into his tracksuit with the university logo on the front of the sweater, that he finds Jeonghan outside of the arena.

“Nice game,” Joshua tells him. No needs for greetings or pleasantries.

“I thought Seungkwan was getting ready to climb the net and throttle me with his hands,” Jeonghan replies, chuckling under his breath. With a roll of his eyes, Joshua shoves his right elbow to make him move from where he’s leaning against the wall.

“You kept teasing him.”

“Deserved.”

They melt into the shadows at the side of the indoor stadium, hidden behind two minivans and the wall that Jeonghan glues himself back to.

“You were so sexy when you got on your knees to save that dink on the third set.” Jeonghan tugs at the zipper of Joshua’s sweater to tug it down, sneaking his arms around his torso to steal his body heat. Joshua lets him, chuckling against his temple when his boyfriend dips his head to give a feather-light kiss to his exposed neck.

“Get over yourself.” Jeonghan looks up at him, tilting his head in confusion before Joshua speaks again. “You always like when I’m on my knees because of you.”

Jeonghan laughs, the familiar sound making Joshua’s heart do small backflips. It’s not a pretty laugh, but Joshua loves it all the same. Just like he loves the man who produces it.

“We’re gonna beat you next time,” Joshua whispers against his lips, stealing Jeonghan’s sounds of protest right out of his mouth. The cold is starting to get to them, but sharing the warmth of kisses in the open always makes Joshua giddy, always makes the tips of his ear turn to a shade of red so deep that Jeonghan laughs at him, trailing his forefinger along the shell of it.

“You can certainly try.”

“I’ll see you on the weekend,” Joshua tells him, hearing the voices of his teammates getting out of the arena and knowing that their tiny stolen moment is over. “You’re the best player in the tournament,” he adds, kissing the embarrassment off Jeonghan’s face, lips against lips and heart against heart.

“See you,” Jeonghan tells him, leaving one last peck on the tip of his nose. “Thank you for stroking my ego.”

“You know I like stroking things for you.”

Jeonghan huffs a laugh, caressing the side of Joshua’s face before letting him go. He’s taken three steps away when Jeonghan’s voice calls for him again.

“If you need some one on one training, Hong, you know where to find me.”
