thank you for seeing what I was trying to do as a writer!! I was thinking about a comment Anne Carson made about how Helen was written in the Illiad. She was the most beautiful woman in the world, but surprisingly, her beauty was never described in the narrative. Her beauty is always talked about by someone else. And in being talked about, but not 'seen', she was even more beautiful. Haha there's a junhui helen brain tangent here, but this fill really was trying to test that idea (I do think Minghao misunderstands things, which is another delicious side affect of having a character do the narration for you).
